Content

• Active Ingredients: Each 5 ml contains 100 mg carbocisteine and 2.5 mg promethazine hydrochloride.
• Formulation: Brown syrup with a chocolate‑vanilla flavour.
• Packaging: Available in 120 ml bottles.

Indications

• Primary Use: Relieves dry cough, particularly nocturnal cough.
• Mechanism of Action:
  • Carbocisteine: A mucolytic agent that helps liquefy thick phlegm in the airways.
  • Promethazine Hydrochloride: An antihistamine that blocks histamine action to reduce allergic symptoms.

Instructions for Use

• Administration: For oral use only. Shake the bottle well before use. Measure the dose using the provided measuring spoon and take it by mouth.
• Dosage:
  • Adults: 15 ml three times daily.
  • Children:
    • 2–5 years: 2.5–5 ml four times daily.
    • 6–12 years: 7.5–12.5 ml three times daily.
    • 12–15 years: 12.5–15 ml three times daily.
• Precautions:
  • Not recommended for children under 2 years old.
  • Use with caution in patients with asthma, liver, renal, or cardiac disease, glaucoma, gastrointestinal problems, or a history of blood disorders.
  • Avoid use in pregnancy, especially during the first trimester.
  • Use with caution during breastfeeding.
  • May cause drowsiness; avoid alcohol and driving if affected.
  • Store in a cool place below 25°C and keep out of reach of children.
