Olmesartan medoxomil 40 mg
 

Indications

• Essential hypertension in adults. 

• Paediatric use (aged 6–17 years): Dosing adjusted by weight and response. 

Instructions 

1. Dosage:

   • Adults start at 20 mg once daily, may increase to 40 mg once daily if needed.

   • In renal or hepatic impairment, maximum remains 20 mg once daily unless supervised. 

2. Administration:

   • Swallow whole with water, with or without food, at the same time each day.

   • Do not chew or crush the tablet. 

3. Duration and Monitoring:

   • For long‑term blood pressure control—continue even when symptoms improve.

   • Regularly assess blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes.
