Olmesartan medoxomil 20 mg
 

Indications

• Treatment of essential hypertension in adults.

• Also licensed for children and adolescents aged 6–17 years, with dose adjusted by age/weight
   

Instructions 

1. Dosage: Start at 20 mg once daily. If required, may increase to 40 mg once daily, or add a thiazide diuretic 

   • In mild–moderate renal/hepatic impairment, maximum remains 20 mg once daily 

   • Pediatric dosing: 10 mg once daily, increased to 20 or 40 mg based on response/weight .

2. Administration: Swallow whole with water, take at the same time daily, with or without food 

3. Duration: Long‑term therapy; continue even if blood pressure is controlled. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes is recommended.
