Ofloxacin 200 mg
 

Indications

Ofloxacin 200 mg tablets are used to treat:

• Respiratory infections: e.g., bronchitis, community‑acquired pneumonia.

• Urinary tract infections: cystitis, pyelonephritis, prostatitis.

• Sexually transmitted infections: gonorrhoea, non‑gonococcal urethritis/cervicitis.

• Skin, bone/joint infections and others (e.g., pelvic inflammatory disease)
   

Instructions 

1. Dosage: Usually 200–400 mg every 12 hours, depending on infection type (e.g., CIN, UTI, prostate) 

2. Administration: Swallow whole, with or without food, at consistent times daily; take with plenty of water to reduce GI upset 

3. Treatment duration: Typically 3–14 days, depending on infection; always complete full course, even if feeling better 

4. Precautions:

   • Avoid dairy products or antacids at the same time—they reduce absorption .

   • Avoid alcohol during treatment 

   • Monitor for tendon pain or swelling and neurological symptoms—stop drug and seek help if they occur .
