Indications

Clarithromycin STELLA 500 mg is indicated for:

• Upper and lower respiratory tract infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Mycobacterial infections (e.g., Mycobacterium avium complex)

• Helicobacter pylori eradication in peptic ulcer disease
   

Instructions

• Dosage for Adults:

  • Respiratory tract/skin infections: 250 mg twice daily; may increase to 500 mg twice daily for severe infections. Duration: 6–14 days.

  • Mycobacterial infections: 500 mg twice daily, in combination with other antimycobacterial agents.

  • H. pylori eradication: 500 mg twice daily with other antimicrobials and a proton pump inhibitor for 7–14 days.

• Renal Impairment: For patients with creatinine clearance <30 mL/min, reduce dosage by half. 

• Administration: Oral; may be taken with or without food
