Indications

• Indicated for type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet and exercise alone are insufficient for glycemic control
  
   

  Instructions

• Dosage: Adults should start with 40–80 mg daily, adjusted based on response, up to a maximum of 320 mg/day. If the daily dose exceeds 160 mg, it should be divided into two doses with meals 

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with water—do not chew, crush, or break. Take it with or just before the first main meal of the day to reduce hypoglycemia risk 

• Precautions: Monitor closely for hypoglycemia—especially in the elderly, those with kidney/liver impairment, or if meals are missed. Avoid alcohol and adjust the dose in renal or hepatic dysfunction. Not suitable for type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or pregnancy/breastfeeding
