Indications

  • Indicated as an expectorant and antitussive for the control of cough due to common cold or allergy

     

    Instructions

  • Adults: 2 teaspoons (10 mL) every 4 hours, maximum 60 mL per day.

  • Children 6–11 years: 1 teaspoon (5 mL) every 4 hours, maximum 30 mL per day

  • Administration: To be taken with food; shake well before use

  • Contraindications/Precautions: Not for chronic coughs related to smoking, asthma, or emphysema; contraindicated in epilepsy, glaucoma, urinary retention (prostatic enlargement), MAOI therapy, or neonates/premature infants. Use with caution in renal/hepatic impairment, hypertension, hyperthyroidism; avoid CNS depressants including alcohol; may cause sedation, dry mouth, dizziness, blurred vision, gastrointestinal upset, and other anticholinergic effects
