Indications

• Used for replacement therapy in adrenocortical insufficiency, and for managing rheumatic, hematologic, dermatologic, gastrointestinal, renal, respiratory, ophthalmic, neoplastic, and edematous conditions requiring systemic corticosteroid therapy
  
   

  Instructions

• Dosage: Individualized based on condition—typically 5–60 mg daily, administered in divided doses or as a single daily/morning dose; oral intake is preferred with food to reduce GI irritation .

• Administration: Shake well before use and swallow as directed with meals.

• Precautions: Avoid in systemic fungal infections or hypersensitivity; monitor closely if using in CHF, diabetes, hypertension, infections, liver/kidney disorders, osteoporosis, tuberculosis, peptic ulcers, ocular herpes, or during pregnancy and lactation; taper gradually to avoid adrenal insufficiency
