Indications

P.P. Naproxen Na 550mg Tablet is indicated for the treatment of:

• Rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions such as ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and acute gout

• Mild to moderate pain including migraine, primary dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain), acute tendonitis, and bursitis

Instructions

• Dosage: Initial dose is usually 550 mg, followed by 275 mg every 6–8 hours as needed. Maximum daily dose: 1,375 mg

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with water. It is best taken with or after food to minimize stomach irritation

• Precautions:

  • Do not use if you have a history of asthma, nasal polyps, active peptic ulcer, or hypersensitivity to NSAIDs

  • Use cautiously in patients with kidney, liver, or cardiovascular conditions, and those with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding

  • Avoid alcohol while taking this medication as it increases the risk of GI bleeding

  • Not recommended during pregnancy (especially third trimester) or breastfeeding
