Content (Ingredients):

• Active Ingredient: Aciclovir 400 mg per tablet
• Inactive Ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and other excipients

Indications (Uses):
Hovid Virest 400mg Tablet is indicated for the treatment of viral infections caused by herpes simplex virus (HSV) and varicella-zoster virus (VZV), including:

• Herpes Simplex Infections: Treatment of genital herpes and cold sores (herpes labialis).
• Herpes Zoster (Shingles): Reduction of pain and acceleration of healing.
• Chickenpox (Varicella): Effective in the treatment of chickenpox in adults and children.

Instructions (How to Use):

• Dosage:
  • Herpes Simplex Infections: 200 mg taken five times daily for 5–10 days.
  • Herpes Zoster: 800 mg taken five times daily for 7–10 days.
  • Chickenpox: 800 mg taken four times daily for 5 days.
• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food.
• Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember, unless it's almost time for the next dose. Do not double doses.
• Precautions:
  • Maintain adequate hydration during treatment.
  • Use with caution in patients with renal impairment; dosage adjustment may be necessary.
  • Consult a healthcare provider before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking other medications.
