Content (Ingredients):

• Active Ingredient: Simvastatin 20 mg per tablet
• Inactive Ingredients: Lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and other excipients

Indications (Uses):
Hovid Stavid 20mg Tablet is indicated for:

• Primary Hypercholesterolemia and Mixed Dyslipidemia: To reduce elevated total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides, and to increase HDL cholesterol.
• Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia: As an adjunct to diet and other lipid-lowering treatments when response to these is inadequate.
• Coronary Heart Disease (CHD): To reduce the risk of death associated with heart disease, reduce the risk to undergo heart surgery, and slow the progression of atherosclerosis, even if cholesterol levels are normal.

Instructions (How to Use):

• Dosage: The dosage regimen should be individualized based on the patient's condition and response to therapy.
• Administration: Take the tablet orally with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not chew or crush.
• Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember, unless it's almost time for the next dose. Do not double doses.
• Precautions:
  • Use with caution in patients with a history of liver disease, kidney disease, or muscle disorders.
  • Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a healthcare professional.
  • Avoid concurrent use with certain medications like cyclosporine, gemfibrozil, and certain HIV medications.
  • Regular monitoring of liver function and muscle symptoms is recommended during treatment.
