Content (Ingredients):

• Active Ingredient: Atorvastatin Calcium equivalent to Atorvastatin 20 mg per tablet
• Inactive Ingredients: Lactose, Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC), Calcium Carbonate, Croscarmellose Sodium, Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), Tween 80, Magnesium Stearate, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Titanium Dioxide, Talc

Indications (Uses):
Hovid Lipiduce 20mg Tablet is indicated for:

• Hypercholesterolemia: As an adjunct to diet for the reduction of elevated total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein B, and triglycerides in adults with primary hypercholesterolemia, including familial hypercholesterolemia or combined (mixed) hyperlipidemia when response to diet and other nonpharmacological measures is inadequate
• Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia: To reduce total cholesterol and LDL-C in adults with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia as an adjunct to other lipid-lowering treatments (e.g., LDL apheresis) or if such treatments are unavailable
• Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease: To reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, certain types of heart surgery, and chest pain in patients who have heart disease or risk factors for heart disease such as age, smoking, high blood pressure, low HDL-C, or a family history of heart disease

Instructions (How to Use):

• Dosage: Initially, 10 mg once daily. The dose may be increased up to a maximum of 80 mg once daily depending on the goal of therapy and patient response
• Administration: Take by mouth, with or without food
• Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible unless it's almost time for the next dose; do not double doses
• Precautions:
  • Avoid large amounts of grapefruit or grapefruit juice (e.g., more than one quart daily) as it may increase the amount of Lipiduce in your blood, increasing the risk for serious side effects
  • Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment; contraindicated in patients with active liver disease
  • Monitor for muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, and report promptly
