Indications (Uses):
Hovid Inox 100mg Capsule is indicated for the treatment and prevention of various systemic and superficial fungal infections, including:

• Systemic Mycoses: Aspergillosis, candidiasis, cryptococcosis (including cryptococcal meningitis), histoplasmosis, sporotrichosis, paracoccidioidomycosis, blastomycosis
• Dermatological/Ophthalmological Infections: Onychomycosis, pityriasis versicolor, dermatomycosis, oral candidiasis
• Gynecological Infections: Vulvovaginal candidiasis

Instructions (How to Use):

• Administration: Take 1 capsule orally, preferably with a full meal to enhance absorption.
• Dosage:
  • Vulvovaginal Candidiasis: 200 mg twice daily for 1 day or 200 mg once daily for 3 days
  • Pityriasis Versicolor: 200 mg once daily for 7 days
  • Dermatomycosis: 200 mg once daily for 7 days or 100 mg once daily for 15 days
  • Onychomycosis (Continuous Treatment): 200 mg once daily for 3 months
  • Onychomycosis (Pulse Treatment): 200 mg twice daily for 1 week, with a 3-week drug-free interval between pulses
• Precautions:
  • Avoid administration with proton pump inhibitors (e.g., omeprazole) within 2 hours before or after taking itraconazole.
  • Do not chew or crush the capsule; swallow it whole with water.
  • Complete the full course of treatment as prescribed, even if symptoms improve before completion.
  • If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it's almost time for the next dose; do not double doses.
