• Active Ingredient: Each tablet contains 2 mg Glimepiride.
• Dosage Form: Oblong, green mottled, uncoated tablet with a break bar on one side and "Hovid" embossed on the other side.
   

• Treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus (non-insulin dependent diabetes) in adults whose blood sugar levels cannot be controlled by diet and exercise alone.
• May be used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic medications.
  
   

• Administration: For oral use only. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. Do not chew, crush, or break the tablet.
• Dosage:
  • Adults: The recommended starting dose is 1–2 mg once daily, taken with breakfast or the first main meal of the day. The maximum daily dose is 2 mg.
  • Elderly or patients with liver or kidney impairment: Start with a lower dose (e.g., 1 mg daily) and adjust as necessary under medical supervision.
• Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it's almost time for the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.
• Precautions:
  • Avoid alcohol consumption, as it may increase or decrease the blood sugar-lowering effect of Glimaryl unpredictably.
  • Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney problems, and dose adjustments may be necessary.
  • Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is advised during treatment.
  • Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
