Indications
Famotidine 40mg Tablet is indicated for:

Duodenal Ulcers: Treatment and prevention of recurrence.

Benign Gastric Ulcers: Treatment and prevention of recurrence.

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Symptomatic relief and treatment of esophagitis.
-
Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Management of pathological hypersecretory conditions.
Instructions for Use

Administration: For oral use only. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. Do not chew, crush, or break it.

Dosage:

Duodenal Ulcer: 40 mg once daily at bedtime for 4–8 weeks.

Benign Gastric Ulcer: 40 mg once daily at bedtime for 4–8 weeks.

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): 20 mg twice daily for 6 weeks; for esophagitis, 40 mg twice daily for 6–12 weeks.

Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: 20 mg every 6 hours; dosage adjusted according to clinical response.

Precautions:

Use with caution in patients with renal impairment; dose adjustments may be necessary.

Not recommended for use in children.

Avoid alcohol consumption as it may exacerbate gastrointestinal irritation.
