Indications

Hovid Alendronate 70mg Tablet is used for:

• Postmenopausal osteoporosis: To prevent and treat bone loss.

• Corticosteroid-induced osteoporosis: In patients on long-term corticosteroid therapy.

• Paget’s disease of bone: To manage abnormal bone growth.

• Hypercalcemia of malignancy: To reduce elevated calcium levels due to cancer.

Instructions for Use

• Dosage: One 70 mg tablet once a week.

• Timing: Take first thing in the morning, at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking, or taking any other medications.

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass (6–8 oz) of plain water. Do not chew, crush, or suck the tablet.

• Post-administration: Remain upright (sitting, standing, or walking) for at least 30 minutes after taking the tablet to facilitate its passage to the stomach and reduce the risk of esophageal irritation.

• Missed Dose: If you miss a dose, take one tablet the morning after you remember. Do not take two tablets on the same day.
