Each tablet contains:

• Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg (a biguanide antidiabetic agent)

Indications

Glucovance is used for:

• Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, particularly:

  • When blood glucose cannot be adequately controlled by diet, exercise, and monotherapy with either metformin or glibenclamide.

  • As second-line therapy in patients inadequately controlled on monotherapy.

Instructions for Use

• Dosage:
  Typically 1 tablet once or twice daily with meals; dosage is adjusted based on blood glucose response.

• Administration:
  Take with food to reduce gastrointestinal side effects.

• Monitoring:
  Regular blood glucose monitoring is essential.

• Warnings:
