Indications

Supirocin Ointment 15g is indicated for the topical treatment of:

• Impetigo

• Folliculitis

• Furunculosis

• Secondary bacterial skin infections

• Prevention of catheter exit-site infections

• Prophylaxis of post-operative wound infections

• Treatment of infected traumatic lesions, burns, cellulitis, and chronic leg ulcers

Instructions for Use

• Dosage: Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2–3 times daily.

• Duration: Typically used for 5–10 days; do not exceed 10 days.

• Application: Clean and dry the affected area before application.

• Precautions:

  • For external use only; avoid contact with eyes, nose, or mouth.

  • Do not apply to broken skin, extensive wounds, or burns.

  • Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

  • Consult a doctor if no improvement is observed within 3–5 days.

  • Avoid using large amounts or applying over large areas, especially in patients with kidney disease.
