Gentamicin Sulfate 5.0 mg/g: An aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, effective against a broad spectrum of ocular pathogens.
Indications
-
Treatment of bacterial infections of the anterior eye, including:
-
Conjunctivitis
-
Keratitis
-
Blepharitis
-
Hordeolum (stye)
-

Prophylaxis of ocular infections following trauma or surgery.
Instructions for Use
-
Dosage: Apply approximately a 1 cm strip of ointment (0.1 mg of gentamicin sulfate) into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 2–3 times daily.

Administration:

Wash hands thoroughly.

Tilt the head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a pouch.

Place the tube near the eye without touching it.
-
Squeeze the tube to dispense the ointment into the pouch.

Close the eye and gently press the inner corner to prevent drainage.

Wipe away any excess ointment with a clean tissue.

Recap the tube immediately after use.

Precautions:

Do not wear contact lenses during treatment.

Avoid contaminating the tube tip.
