Indications

Ezetrol (ezetimibe) is used for:

1. Primary Hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol):

   • Alone or with a statin (like simvastatin or atorvastatin) to lower total cholesterol (TC), LDL-C (“bad” cholesterol), and apolipoprotein B.

2. Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia (HoFH):

   • In combination with a statin.

3. Homozygous Sitosterolemia (phytosterolemia):

   • To reduce elevated sitosterol and campesterol levels.

Dosage & Instructions

• Usual Adult Dose:
  One 10 mg tablet once daily, with or without food.

• With a statin:
  Follow statin dosing recommendations along with ezetimibe.

• Missed dose:
  Take it as soon as you remember. If it’s close to the next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double dose.

• Renal or hepatic impairment:
  Use with caution in liver disease; regular monitoring recommended.
