Indications

Betagen Eye/Ear Drops are indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections and associated inflammation in the eyes and ears, including:

• Eye Use:

  • Bacterial conjunctivitis

  • Keratitis

  • Blepharitis

  • Post-surgical inflammation in the eye

• Ear Use:

  • Otitis externa (outer ear infections)

  • Bacterial ear infections

These conditions are responsive to the combined antibiotic action of gentamicin and the anti-inflammatory effect of betamethasone.

Instructions

• Dosage:

  • For Eye Use: Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) 3–4 times daily. During the acute stage, 2 drops every 2 hours may be used.

  • For Ear Use: Instill 3–4 drops into the affected ear(s) 3–4 times daily.

• Administration:

  • Eye Use: Wash hands before use. Tilt the head back, pull down the lower eyelid, and instill the prescribed number of drops into the conjunctival sac.

  • Ear Use: Clean and dry the ear before application. Tilt the head or lie down with the affected ear facing upward. Instill the prescribed number of drops into the ear canal and remain in this position for a few minutes to allow the medication to penetrate.

• Storage:

  • Store below 25°C (room temperature).

  • Keep away from direct sunlight.

  • Do not refrigerate.

  • Keep out of reach of children.
