Indications
Indecin 25mg Capsule is indicated for:
-
Active stages of rheumatoid arthritis
-
Moderate to severe juvenile rheumatoid arthritis
-
Osteoarthritis and degenerative joint disease of the hip

Ankylosing spondylitis
-
Acute musculoskeletal disorders (e.g., bursitis, tendinitis, synovitis, tenosynovitis, capsulitis of the shoulder, sprains, and strains)

Lumbago
-
Inflammatory conditions following orthopedic procedures

Pain and associated symptoms of primary dysmenorrhea
Instructions for Use

Administration: For oral use only. Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush the capsule. It is advisable to take this medication with food or milk to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort.

Dosage:
-
Adults: 50 to 200 mg daily in divided doses, adjusted to the individual patient's response and tolerability to the drug.

Acute gouty arthritis: 150 mg to 200 mg daily in divided doses until all symptoms and signs subside.

Primary dysmenorrhoea: 75 mg daily as a single or divided dose, starting at the onset of cramps or bleeding and continuing for as long as symptoms usually last.

Precautions:

Use with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding, peptic ulcer disease, or hypersensitivity to indomethacin or other NSAIDs.

Avoid use during pregnancy, especially in the third trimester, as it may harm the fetus.

Not recommended for breastfeeding mothers, as indomethacin is excreted in breast milk.

Monitor renal and hepatic function during prolonged therapy.

Avoid alcohol consumption, as it may increase the risk of gastrointestinal side effects.
