Each tablet contains 40 mg of atorvastatin calcium trihydrate, a statin medication that inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, the enzyme responsible for cholesterol production in the liver. This leads to a reduction in total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Crystorvas is available in packaging options of 3x10 tablets or 10x10 tablets.

 Indications:

Crystorvas 40mg is prescribed for:

• Lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels in patients with hyperlipidemia.

• Reducing the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attacks and strokes in individuals with risk factors like diabetes, hypertension, or a family history of heart disease.

• Preventing the progression of coronary artery disease.

 Instructions 

• Take one tablet orally once daily, with or without food.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not chew or crush.

• It is advisable to take Crystorvas at the same time each day to help remember.

• Avoid excessive consumption of grapefruit juice, as it may increase the risk of side effects.

• Do not stop taking Crystorvas without consulting your doctor, even if you feel well.
