• Formulation: Clear, slightly yellow, oily liquid with an orange odour.

Indications:

• Prevention and treatment of vitamin D deficiency.

• Adjunctive therapy for osteoporosis in patients with vitamin D deficiency or at risk of insufficiency .

Instructions:

• Dosage:

  • Adults:

    • Prevention: 25,000 IU once monthly.

    • Treatment: 50,000 IU weekly for 6–8 weeks, followed by maintenance therapy of 1,400–2,000 IU daily .

  • Children (0–18 years):

    • Prevention:

      • 0–1 year: 25,000 IU every 8 weeks.

      • 1–18 years: 25,000 IU every 6 weeks.

    • Treatment: 25,000 IU every 2 weeks for 6 weeks, followed by maintenance therapy of 400–1,000 IU daily .

• Administration: Empty the entire contents of the ampoule directly into the mouth or onto a spoon and swallow.
