CONTENT:
Cosopt 2%/0.5% contains two active ingredients: dorzolamide hydrochloride 2% (a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor) and timolol maleate 0.5% (a non-selective beta-blocker), used to lower elevated intraocular pressure (IOP).
 

Ingredients

• Active ingredients:

  • Dorzolamide hydrochloride 2%

  • Timolol maleate 0.5%

• Inactive ingredients:

  • Benzalkonium chloride (preservative)

  • Hydroxyethylcellulose, mannitol, sodium citrate, sodium hydroxide, water for injection

Indications

• Used to lower intraocular pressure in patients with:

  • Open-angle glaucoma

  • Pseudoexfoliative glaucoma

  • Ocular hypertension not controlled by beta-blocker monotherapy

 Instructions 

• Dosage: One drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily (morning and evening).

• How to use:

  • Wash hands before use.

  • Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface, including the eye.

  • Close the eye gently after application, and press the corner of the eye near the nose for 1-2 minutes to reduce systemic absorption.

• Contact lenses: Remove before instillation; wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting.
