Indications

• Celmantin 20mg is indicated for:

  • Primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia (including Fredrickson types IIa and IIb; and heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia) as an adjunct to diet when response to diet and exercise is inadequate.

  • Primary dysbetalipoproteinemia (Fredrickson type III hyperlipoproteinemia) as an adjunct to diet when response to diet and exercise is inadequate.

  • Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, either alone or as an adjunct to diet and other lipid-lowering treatments (e.g., LDL apheresis).

  • Prevention of cardiovascular events: To reduce the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction (MI), and arterial revascularization procedures.

Instructions

• Administration: Take one tablet daily, with or without food.

• Starting Dose: For statin-naive patients or those switching from another HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, the initial dose is 5 or 10 mg once daily.

• Dosage Adjustment: Adjust the dose based on individual response and tolerability, with a maximum recommended dose of 40 mg once daily.

• Renal Impairment: In patients with severe renal impairment (CrCl <30 mL/min), the maximum dose is 10 mg once daily.

• Administration Timing: Preferably taken at the same time each day.

• Precautions: Monitor liver enzymes and renal function during treatment.
