• Active Ingredient: Glucose 20% w/v (weight/volume).

Indications:

• Hypoglycemia: Used to restore blood glucose levels in cases of insulin excess or other causes of low blood sugar.
• Cerebral Edema: Provides temporary relief from symptoms.
• Hypoglycemic Coma: Used in the treatment of coma due to low blood sugar.
• Hyperkalaemia: Can help correct high potassium levels in renal failure when used with or without insulin.

Instructions:

• Dosage: Depends on the patient's age, weight, and clinical condition. For adults and the elderly, up to 125ml of a 20% solution may be used for hypoglycemic coma. As an energy source, up to 3 liters per day may be administered.
• Administration: Must be administered intravenously. In emergency cases of severe hypoglycemia, it should be administered via a central vein.
• Monitoring: Serum glucose, sodium, and other electrolytes should be monitored before and during administration, especially in patients with conditions like SIADH (syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion).
• Storage: Store below 25°C and protect from light. The shelf life is 48 months.
