Cefmex 1g Powder for Injection contains Cefepime Hydrochloride, a cephalosporin antibiotic. It is intended for intramuscular or intravenous administration1. Each vial contains either 500mg or 1g of cefepime activity in the form of a sterile, dry mixture of cefepime hydrochloride and L-arginine.
Indication:
Cefmex 1g Powder for Injection contains Cefepime Hydrochloride, a cephalosporin antibiotic. Each vial contains 1g of cefepime activity in the form of a sterile, dry mixture of cefepime hydrochloride and L-arginine. The L-arginine is added to control the pH of the constituted solution, which ranges from 4.0 to 6.0.
Instructions:
Cefmex 1g Powder for Injection is indicated for the treatment of a variety of bacterial infections. It is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria1. Some of the infections it treats include:

• Respiratory tract infections (such as pneumonia)
• Urinary tract infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Bone and joint infections
• Intra-abdominal infections
• Septicemia
