Content:

• Active Ingredients: Piperacillin sodium (4.0 g) and Tazobactam sodium (0.5 g).
• Form: White to off-white sterile, lyophilized powder filled into glass vials.

Indications:

• Treatment: Used to treat severe pneumonia (including hospital-acquired, ventilator-associated, and community-acquired pneumonia), complicated urinary tract infections, complicated intra-abdominal infections, complicated and uncomplicated skin and soft tissue infections, and bacteraemia associated with these infections.
• Neutropenic Patients: Can be used in the management of neutropenic patients with fever suspected to be due to a bacterial infection.

Dosage Instructions:

• Adults and Adolescents: Usual dose is 4 g Piperacillin / 0.5 g Tazobactam given every 8 hours. For severe pneumonia and neutropenic adults, it may be given every 6 hours.
• Children (2-12 years): Used for complicated intra-abdominal infections.
• Renal Impairment: Dosage should be adjusted based on the degree of renal impairment.
