Indications

• Prevention of stroke and systemic embolism in adult patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation and one or more risk factors.aprixaban 5mg

• Treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).

• Prevention of recurrence of DVT and PE following initial therapy.

• Prophylaxis of DVT, which may lead to PE in patients who have undergone hip or knee replacement surgery.

Dosage Instructions

• Non-valvular atrial fibrillation: 5 mg twice daily.

• Treatment of DVT and PE: 10 mg twice daily for the first 7 days, followed by 5 mg twice daily.

• Prevention of recurrent DVT and PE: 5 mg twice daily.

• Prophylaxis of DVT following hip or knee replacement surgery: 5 mg twice daily.
