Content (Ingredients)

• Active Ingredient: Terazosin Hydrochloride 5 mg per tablet
• Excipients: Lactose monohydrate 123.07 mg per tablet
• Formulation: Tan, round, flat bevel-edged tablets embossed with the logo and triangular facets on one face, plain on the other

Indications (Uses)
Hytrin 5mg Tablet is indicated for:

• Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): As a peripheral vasodilator, either alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents such as thiazide diuretics or beta-blockers.
• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): For the symptomatic treatment of urinary obstruction caused by BPH, by relaxing the smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck

Instructions (How to Use)

• Dosage:
  • Hypertension: 1 mg before bedtime; may be increased gradually by doubling the dose at weekly intervals to achieve the desired blood pressure response.
  • BPH: 5–10 mg once daily, adjusted based on individual response.
• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food.
• Precautions:
  • May cause dizziness or drowsiness, especially after the first dose or dose increase.
  • Avoid standing up quickly to reduce the risk of fainting.
  • Use with caution in patients with liver impairment; dosage adjustment may be necessary.
  • Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding
