Axcel Acyclovir Cream contains Acyclovir 5% w/w. Acyclovir is an antiviral medication used to treat infections caused by herpes viruses.
Indications:

• Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) Infections: Treatment of recurrent herpes labialis (cold sores) in immunocompetent adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older.
• Genital Herpes: Treatment of herpes simplex virus infections on the external genitalia.
• Other Herpes Virus Infections: Treatment of infections caused by herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2, and varicella-zoster virus.

Instructions:

• Dosage: Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area 5 times a day for 4 days.
• Administration: Apply immediately following the onset of cold sore lesions. Avoid applying to mucous membranes such as the eyes, inside the mouth, or nose.
• Precautions: Avoid if you are allergic to acyclovir or any component of the formulation. Use with caution if you have liver or kidney problems.
• Monitoring: Regular follow-ups with your doctor are recommended to monitor progress and adjust dosage if necessary.
