Astatin 40mg tablets contain Atorvastatin Calcium, equivalent to 40mg of Atorvastatin. Atorvastatin is a synthetic lipid-lowering agent that inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme involved in cholesterol synthesis.
Indications:

• Hyperlipidemias: To reduce elevated levels of total cholesterol, LDL-C (low-density lipoprotein cholesterol), apolipoprotein B, and triglycerides in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia.
• Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia: Treatment for this genetic condition that causes very high cholesterol levels.
