Each tablet contains 70 mg of alendronic acid (as sodium alendronate). The tablets are white, round, and biconvex, debossed with "ALN 70" on one side.
Indication:
Alendronate Sandoz is primarily used for the treatment of post-menopausal osteoporosis. It helps to reduce the risk of vertebral and hip fractures by increasing bone mass and strength.
Instructions:
  • Dosage: The recommended dose is one 70 mg tablet once weekly.
  • Administration: Take the tablet on an empty stomach immediately after waking up in the morning. Swallow the tablet with a full glass of plain water (200 ml or more). Do not take it with any other drinks, food, or medications.
  • Position: Remain upright (sitting or standing) for at least 30 minutes after taking the tablet. Do not lie down until after your first meal of the day.
  • Precautions: Do not chew, suck, or crush the tablet. Ensure you have a calcium and vitamin D supplement if your diet is inadequate.
