Indications

Ospamox 500mg is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by amoxicillin-susceptible organisms, including:

• Respiratory Tract Infections: Upper and lower airway infections such as acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, and lung abscesses.

• Urinary Tract Infections: Conditions like pyelonephritis, cystitis, and urethritis.

• Gastrointestinal Infections: Typhoid fever, paratyphoid, shigellosis, and infections of the biliary system.

• Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Including cellulitis and abscesses.

• Gynecological Infections: Such as septic abortion and endometritis.

• Prophylaxis: Short-term prevention of infections during surgical procedures, particularly in the oral cavity.

• Others: Leptospirosis, listeriosis, and enterococcal endocarditis (in combination with an aminoglycoside).
  
   

  Instructions

• Dosage: The dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional based on the type and severity of the infection.

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a sufficient quantity of water; do not chew, crush, or break the tablet.

• Timing: Can be taken with or without food.

• Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember. If it's almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose—do not double the dose.

• Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have any allergies, kidney disease, or are taking other medications.
