Each capsule contains 250mg of Mefenamic Acid.
Indications:
PONTACID is used for:

• Treatment of primary dysmenorrhoea (menstrual pain).
• Primary menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding).
• Short-term relief of mild to moderate pain such as dental pain, soft tissue pain, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis.

Instructions:

• Dosage for Adults: Initially, take 500mg followed by 250mg every 6 hours as needed.
• For Dysmenorrhoea: Take 500mg three times daily with meals from the onset of pain and continue for the usual duration of pain.
• For Menorrhagia: Take 500mg three times daily with meals from the onset of menses and continue according to the judgment of the physician.
• Other Indications: Take 500mg three times daily for mild to moderate pain.
• Duration: Therapy should not be continued for more than 7 days unless advised by a physician.
• Administration: Take orally with a full glass of water (8 oz/240 mL).

Contraindications:
Do not use PONTACID if you have:

• Ulceration or inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract.
• Known hypersensitivity to Mefenamic Acid or other NSAIDs.
• History of bronchospasm, allergic rhinitis, or urticaria induced by aspirin or other NSAIDs.
