Indications

Rabeprazole Sandoz 20mg is indicated for:

• Healing and symptomatic relief of erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

• Healing of duodenal and gastric ulcers

• Helicobacter pylori eradication in combination with appropriate antibacterial therapeutic regimens for the treatment of peptic ulcer disease or chronic gastritis

• Long-term management of GERD

• Prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcer recurrences associated with low-dose aspirin therapy

 

Instructions

• Dosage: The recommended oral dose is one 20 mg tablet to be taken once daily.

  • For active GERD, the usual duration is 4 to 8 weeks.

  • For maintenance therapy, the usual dose is 10 mg once daily.

  • For Helicobacter pylori eradication, rabeprazole is used in combination with clarithromycin and amoxicillin.

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a sufficient quantity of water. Do not chew or crush the tablet.

• Timing: Can be taken with or without food.

• Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember unless it's almost time for your next dose. Do not double the dose.

• Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have any allergies, liver disease, or are taking other medications.
