Indications

• Licensed for treatment of susceptible bacterial infections, including:

  • Respiratory tract infections (e.g., bronchitis, pneumonia)

  • Urinary tract infections

  • Skin and soft tissue infections

  • Gonorrhoea, Lyme disease, and other mild to moderate bacterial infections
    
     

    Instructions

  • Dosage: Usually 500 mg every 12 hours, though doses may range from 250–500 mg twice daily depending on infection severity .

  • Administration: Take with or after food to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset; swallow whole—do not crush or chew 

  • Course Duration: Typically 5–14 days, guided by infection type and medical advice 

  • Missed Dose: Take as soon as remembered unless close to next dose; do not double dose
