Indications

Chloramine is used for the prevention and treatment of:

• Perennial (throughout the year) and seasonal allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the mucous membrane inside the nose)

• Vasomotor (non-allergic) rhinitis

• Allergic conjunctivitis (eye inflammation)

• Sneezing and runny nose associated with the common cold

• Pruritus (itching)

• Urticaria (a red, raised, itchy rash)

• Angioedema (swelling of the deeper layers of the skin)

• Dermatographism (pressure or friction on skin causes raised, reddish marks)
   

• • Instructions: Typically taken 3 to 4 times daily, depending on age and medical condition.

Dosage Instructions

• Adults: 4 mg (5 ml) every 4–6 hours as needed, not to exceed 24 mg (30 ml) daily

• Children 6–12 years: 2 mg (2.5 ml) every 4–6 hours as needed, not to exceed 12 mg (15 ml) daily

• Children 2–5 years: 1 mg (1.25 ml) every 4–6 hours as needed, not to exceed 6 mg (7.5 ml) daily

• Administration: Take orally with or without food
