Indications

Pontacid Forte 500mg Tablet is indicated for:

• Primary dysmenorrhoea (painful menstruation)

• Primary menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding)

• Short-term relief of mild to moderate pain such as dental pain, soft tissue pain, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis
   

  Dosage Instructions

• Adults:

  • Initially, take 500 mg followed by 250 mg every 6 hours as required.

  • For dysmenorrhoea, 500 mg three times daily with meals from the onset of pain and continued for the usual duration of pain.

  • For menorrhagia, 500 mg three times daily with meals from the onset of menses and continued according to the judgment of the physician.

  • Therapy should not be continued for more than 7 days except on the advice of a physician.

• Administration:

  • Take the tablet with a glass of water, with or without food.

• Precautions:

  • Do not use if you are allergic to mefenamic acid or any other ingredients.

  • Avoid use if you have a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, bleeding disorders, or severe liver or kidney disease.

  • Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
