Indications

Pirimat Injection is prescribed for:

• Management of allergic conditions such as hay fever, rhinitis, urticaria, angioedema, and insect bites.

• Treatment of drug and serum reactions, atopic and contact dermatitis, allergic eczema, and pruritus ani et vulvae.

• Adjunctive therapy in some cases of asthma.

Instructions for Use

• Adults: Administer 10–20 mg via intramuscular (IM), subcutaneous (SC), or slow intravenous (IV) injection over 1 minute. Maximum daily dose is 40 mg.

• Children:

  • 1 month to 1 year: 0.25 mg/kg

  • 1 to 5 years: 2.5–5 mg

  • 6 to 12 years: 5–10 mg

  • Over 12 years: Same as adult dose.
