Indications
Diflucan 150mg Capsule is indicated for the treatment of:
-
Cryptococcal meningitis and other cryptococcal infections
-
Systemic candidiasis, including candidemia and disseminated candidiasis

Mucosal candidiasis, such as oropharyngeal and esophageal candidiasis
-
Chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis
-
Vaginal candidiasis (acute or recurrent)
-
Candidal balanitis
-
Dermatomycosis, including tinea pedis, tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea versicolor, and dermal candida infections
-
Tinea unguium (onychomycosis) when other treatments are not appropriate
Instructions for Use

Administration: For oral use only. Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush the capsule.

Adults:

Cryptococcal meningitis: 400 mg on the first day, followed by 200 mg daily for at least 10–12 weeks.

Systemic candidiasis: 400 mg on the first day, followed by 200 mg daily.

Mucosal candidiasis: 50–200 mg daily.

Vaginal candidiasis: 150 mg as a single dose.

Children:

The dosage is based on body weight.

For example, for oropharyngeal candidiasis, the usual dose is 3 mg/kg on the first day, followed by 1.5 mg/kg daily.

Precautions:

Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney impairment.

Not recommended during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester.

May cause side effects such as nausea, headache, abdominal pain, and skin rash.

Avoid alcohol consumption, as it may enhance side effects such as dizziness and drowsiness.
