Indication
In combination w/ other antiretroviral for treatment of HIV infected adult & childn.
 
Instruction
May be taken with or without food. Adult & adolescent (at least 25 kg) 30 mL once daily or 15 ml bd. Childn >3 mth (<25 kg) 4 mg/kg bd. Max: 300 mg daily.
 
Drug interaction
Decreased AUC & C_max w/ sorbitol. Increased C_max of zidovudine. Increased exposure w/ trimethoprim/sulphamethoxazole. Inhibited intracellular phosphorylation of emtricitabine.
