Salbutamol sulfate
 
Indication
Relief of bronchospasm in asthma, chronic bronchitis, other conditions involving airways obstruction.
 
Instruction
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals. Adult 4 mg tds-qds, may be increased to 8 mg as needed. Elderly or patient unusually sensitive to β-adrenergic stimulants 2 mg tds-qds. Childn >12 yr 2-4 mg , 6-12 yr 2 mg, 2-6 yr 1-2 mg.
 
Drug interaction
Diuretics, theophylline, steroids, muscle relaxants, propranolol.
