Indications

Used for the symptomatic relief of:

• Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis (e.g., sneezing, nasal/ocular itching, runny nose)

• Idiopathic chronic urticaria (hives) and other allergic skin conditions
   

Instructions

• Dosage:

  • Adults & children ≥ 12 years: 10 mg once daily

  • Children aged 2–12 years (> 30 kg): 10 mg once daily; (< 30 kg): 5 mg once daily

  • Severe hepatic or renal impairment: Start at 5 mg once daily or 10 mg every other day 

• Administration: Swallow whole with water; may be taken with or without food; take at the same time daily for consistent relief 

• Missed Dose: Take as soon as you remember unless it's near the next dose—do not double up.

• Special precautions:

  • Patients with liver or kidney issues should use with caution; dose adjustment may be needed 

  • Discontinue 48 hrs before allergy skin testing to avoid false results 

  • Use with caution during pregnancy or breastfeeding—only if clearly needed

  • Avoid activities requiring full alertness if drowsiness occurs
