Indications:

Fluhalt 60mg/5ml Oral Suspension is indicated for:

• Treatment of Influenza: For adults and children aged 1 year and older, treatment should commence as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours after the onset of symptoms.

• Prophylaxis of Influenza: For adults and children aged 1 year and older following exposure to a clinically diagnosed influenza case when influenza virus is circulating in the community.

• Prevention during Community Outbreaks: For adults and adolescents aged 13 years and older during community outbreaks of influenza.

 

Instructions:

• Dosage:

  • Treatment: 60 mg (5 ml) twice daily for 5 days.

  • Prophylaxis:

    • 60 mg (5 ml) once daily for at least 7 days following exposure.

    • 60 mg (5 ml) once daily during community outbreaks, up to 6 weeks.

• Administration: Shake the bottle well before use. Measure the dose using the provided measuring spoon and take it by mouth.

• With or Without Food: May be taken with or without food. Taking with food may reduce gastrointestinal discomfort.

• Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it's almost time for the next dose; do not double the dose.

• Precautions:

  • Consult your doctor before use if you have any kidney problems.

  • Not recommended for children under 1 year of age.

  • Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

  • Avoid alcohol consumption during treatment.

  • May interact with certain medications; inform your doctor of all medicines you are taking.
