Indications:

Fluhalt 75mg Capsules are indicated for:

• Treatment of Influenza: For adults and children aged 1 year and older, treatment should commence as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours after the onset of symptoms.

• Prophylaxis of Influenza: For adults and children aged 1 year and older following exposure to a clinically diagnosed influenza case when influenza virus is circulating in the community.

• Prevention during Community Outbreaks: For adults and adolescents aged 13 years and older during community outbreaks of influenza
   

  Instructions:

• Dosage:

  • Treatment: 75 mg twice daily for 5 days.

  • Prophylaxis:

    • 75 mg once daily for at least 7 days following exposure.

    • 75 mg once daily during community outbreaks, up to 6 weeks.

• Administration: Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water; do not chew or crush.

• With or Without Food: May be taken with or without food. Taking with food may reduce gastrointestinal discomfort.

• Alternative Administration: If swallowing the capsule is difficult, the capsule may be opened and the contents mixed with sweetened food products (e.g., chocolate syrup, sweetened condensed milk, apple sauce, or yogurt). Swallow the mixture immediately after preparation.

• Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it's almost time for the next dose; do not double the dose.

• Precautions:

  • Consult your doctor before use if you have any kidney problems.

  • Not recommended for children under 1 year of age.

  • Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

  • Avoid alcohol consumption during treatment.

  • May interact with certain medications; inform your doctor of all medicines you are taking.
