Diclofenac sodium 50 mgIndications
Used for relief of pain and inflammation in a variety of adult conditions:

Rheumatic disorders: rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and soft tissue rheumatism (e.g., tendinitis, bursitis, frozen shoulder)

Acute gout attacks and other inflammatory joint conditions

Trauma-related pain: such as back pain, sprains, strains, fractures, post-dental or minor surgery, and menstrual cramps; also used as adjunct in ENT-related inflammation
Instructions

Dosage: Adults typically take 75–150 mg per day, divided into 2–3 doses of 50 mg (1–3 tablets daily); in milder cases, 75–100 mg daily is common

Administration:

Swallow tablets whole with a full glass of water, preferably before or with meals to reduce stomach irritation

Do not crush, chew, or break them

Treatment duration:

Use for the shortest effective time at the lowest effective dose.

Standard courses range from a few days to weeks depending on condition.

Complete the prescribed duration, even if symptoms improve prematurely.

Precautions:

Not recommended for children under 14 years (except special formulations)

Avoid in cases of active peptic ulcers, past GI bleeding, or NSAID allergy

Use with caution if taking other medications (e.g., anticoagulants, diuretics, lithium, methotrexate) and in patients with kidney or liver disease

Avoid alcohol and monitor for GI discomfort; consider co-prescription of gastric protectants like PPIs if needed
