Indication
Adezio (cetirizine) is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose.
Adezio is used to treat cold or allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itching, watery eyes, or runny nose.
Adezio is also used to treat itching and swelling caused by chronic urticaria (hives).
Adezio may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
 
 
Instruction
Use Adezio exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
You may take Adezio with or without food.
The chewable tablet must be chewed before you swallow it.
Do not swallow the Adezio dissolving tablet whole. Allow it to dissolve in your mouth without chewing. Swallow several times as the tablet dissolves. If desired, you may drink liquid to help swallow the dissolved tablet.
Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve, if they get worse, or if you also have a fever. Store this medicine at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Do not allow the liquid form of this medicine to freeze.
 
Drug interaction
Adezio interact with such medication as: Muscle relaxants such as Valium and Soma Pain-relieving narcotics such as codeine, Demerol, and Percocet Sedatives such as Nembutal, Seconal, and phenobarbital Sleeping pills such as Halcion, Restoril, and Ambien High doses of theophylline (Theo-Dur) Antidepressants such as Tofranil, Elavil, Ludiomil, and Anafranil Also note that interaction between two medications does not always mean that you must stop taking one of them. As usual it affects the the effect of drugs, so consult with your doctor about how it interactions are being managed or should be managed.
